Bikes and Blooms
Sunday 16th May (10- 1.30pm) Price per couple £150
A win, win morning when both sides of the partnership are happy. One half can enjoy a relaxing morning at Fiona's cut flower garden, cutting flowers and learning how to make a hand tied bouquet of seasonal British flowers to take home. The other half can enjoy the exhilaration of a guided off road mountain bike ride, lead by my husband, Tim, a qualified mountain bike leader and experienced rider. Bring your own well maintained mountain bike or hire one of Tim's excellent bikes or ebikes. Price is per couple (excluding bike hire). Should bike hire be required please email or call to check availability before booking. Refreshments during each activity are included. To make a day of it, why not book lunch at our fabulous local pub the Old Fox, Coaley.

Ever dreamt of being let loose in a garden full of flowers with a pair of scissors? Now’s your chance to experience just that. The morning starts with a tour of the cut flower garden, and hints and tips for cutting and conditioning flowers. You then get the chance to wander around the garden and pick any of the flowers, herbs and foliage that catch your eye. Next, we enjoy coffee and cake and while the flowers are conditioning, you learn how to make and wrap a hand-tied bouquet to fit the vase provided. The flowers and vase are yours to take home at the end of the workshop. Social distancing and other rules will be followed in accordance with latest government guidelines.

Girls day or evening out with a difference

Fancy a couple of hours of fun and creativity with friends and flowers in a scenic, peaceful colourful environment – and a glass of prosecco thrown in? This bespoke workshop is perfect for you. Let me know what flowery creation you’d like to make and take home, and I’ll provide the flowers, equipment and skills. Minimum 3 people, price on application.
Sunday 3rd October and Sunday 10th October 2021 (£30)

Enjoy an hour in a designated time slot, wandering around the garden and picking any of the flowers, herbs and
foliage that catch your eye and fill a standard florist's bucket. Dahlias are particularly plentiful in
the autumn and there are lots to choose from.
Children welcome. Followed in accordance with latest government guidelines.
Saturday November 6th 10 -1pm and 2-5pm (£80)
Learn how to weave a willow wreath and decorate it with dried flowers dried from the garden during the summer. The everlasting flower wreath will keep for months, and is fully biodegradable and compostable. Followed in accordance with latest government guidelines
Christmas willow door wreath (£60)
Fri Dec 3rd 6.30- 9.30 pm OR Sat Dec 4th 9.30 - 12.30pm OR 1.30pm -4.30 pm
Enjoy learning how to weave a willow door wreath and adorn it with a selection of British sourced seasonal foliage, pine cones and seed heads. The wreath will look wonderful for weeks when displayed outside. Fiona will teach you plastic and wire free methods so it will be completely biodegradable and compostable. Why not make a day of it on Saturday 4th and book a morning and afternoon session to do both activities
Christmas willow decorations (£60)
Sat Dec 4th 10-1pm OR 2-5pm
Under the tutelage of Norah Kennedy (willow worker) learn how to make a variety of small Christmas willow decorations such as stars, reindeer wands or garland or one larger piece such as an angel, Christmas tree or mince pie platter. If you're a speedy worker perhaps you'll have time to do both. Why not make a day of it on Saturday 4th and book a morning and afternoon session to do both activities.
Price includes festive refreshments and all materials.
The important bit
All workshops are suitable for absolute beginners and most take place under the cover of a large gazebo or in a spacious, light and airy room in my Cotswolds home in Gloucestershire, with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside.
Workshop places are limited to small groups (currently 5 ) except the December workshop (up to 12). The price includes refreshments, flowers and all materials. Most sessions include a tour of the cutting garden and hints and tips for growing your own cut flowers.
